I want to take this time to wish Everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Joyous New Year !! Despite the challenges that lie ahead I feel that it's once again time to Let Love Rule ! ! Merry Christmas ! ! Lary
Yeah, that's pretty cool but please don't forget that Walter was a songwriter/composer.. He had music flowing through his veins, even after the breakup of Steely Dan.. You can't just stop being an Artist.. I really don't care if anyone chooses to believe me or not, but the truth is that Walter and I were on the phone, late at night, night after night, while he went through the process of reestablishing himself.. I had a decent system in my home, and he had a Great studio in his new home.. We wrote some pretty silly rhymes and rhythms in the beginning but One in the A.M. was one of the songs that came from those collaborations.. I know that a lot that material was recorded on high end cassettes, simply for economic reasons, but Walter was Walter, and he and Donald had started experimenting with digital equipment on the Royal Scam.. But the point is that even though none of you knew Walter during, and after, his days in Steely Dan, there is probably still a wealth of material still out there on cassettes.. My tapes have held up quite well, so maybe you should look in all the old boxes that are laying around.. You might find another gem like One in the A.M. Just a suggestion... All my Love, as always...
