I recently did a little bit of snooping through the Copyright Database looking for lost SD and Walter goodies whilst not much SD related was found a lot of Walter songs were. If anyone knows any info about the following songs please let me know Ghost - 1992 - Co-written by Dean Parks Golden City Mayor of Ambien Village - (Circus Money Era Track) Janie Girl - (She Was Good?) Chalk Miller's Tale (or how I learned to stop worrying and love somebody else's fate) - (Dark Horse Dub?) Happy Song - (Circus Money Era Track) Camilla One In The AM Thank you.

Yes GOHP, the CD color was a real screw-up. Rich discussion topic, this; hope to reply to all Qs when I get chance
@Tony Favia If I recall correctly, the errata page was posted the day of release, or maybe a day thereafter. Internet carpers aside, the disc color did seem to be very much on the radar of Our Heroes (whether in jest or in earnest).
While on the subject, I always thought that the art and liner notes of 2vN were among the most tasteful of any release from the CD era.
@Moderator: D-Mod This may be less a test of SD-obsessiveness than it is a measure of one's ability to recover (non-traumatic) memories.
I vaguely remember a black-and-white photo of a pair of lawn reindeer with "TWO AGAINST NATURE" stamped across in a faux-typewriter font. I believe it was the same two reindeer from the 2vN booklet. But my gut tells me that wasn't the first leak of the album title.
(A quick Google search turned up the photo, elsewhere on the archived site. So now I'm even more confident I'm on the wrong track: https://sdarchive.com/2vntracks.html)
Speaking of 2vN hype and mystery, what was the deal with the green vs. orange disc (http://sdarchive.com/oldindex27.html)? An in joke? A real screw-up? (How would that get by quality control?) Then again, the DVD-Audio disc, issued the next year, was indeed very green.
That you guys were able to maintain this enigmatic air––on sd.com, and with DF and WB on the publicity front––amid what must have been considerable pressure/bullshit from the suits and record company types is quite something. Forget the music; that in itself is a triumph.
yeah, ok, but....
A Kewpie Doll to whomever can remember/link to the leaked title (complete with cover art!) of "The New One" during that interminable wait in the late 90s
(PS, Copywriting a title is like rolling off a log. Just sayin')
Ghost with Dean Parks is the song we know as The Ghost of Hipness Past:
Golden City is a good one that will likely make an appearance here someday in the not so distant future. Janie Girl is indeed She Was Good, and you're right about Chalk Miller's Tale being Dark Horse Dub as well. I remember seeing Happy Song in the copyright list myself, but I'm not sure which track it might have become.
Mayor of Ambien Village...now there's a name for a song.
I believe that Camilla and One in the AM are from between 11ToW and 2VN, and just kind of got left by the wayside when WB and DF began working in earnest on what would become the new Steely Dan album. Maybe they'll pop up here as well at some point.
