Someone recently posted this to Facebook. From Automated Sound, an EQ mix sheet for the song The Second Arrangement, the notorious lost track from Gaucho. I know this song so well, which is why the last line really hit me. I'm 98% certain that this lyric sheet is in Walter's handwriting, though @Moderator: D-Mod can for sure confirm.

A home cooked meal and a hand job goodbye. What a line.
Love seeing those lyrics! Fills in some blanks for me, confirms others LOL. Great stuff
Probably well-known amongst this group, but for anyone who needs them, here are the lyrics to an earlier version of the song:
Pour out the wine little girl
we got just 2 friends in this whole wide world
ciao, buongiorno, baby
it's been a lovely night
the wine was right
I am a refugee
and I like things just the way they used to be
I'm the same damned fool
that you knew years ago
so broken hearted
one last goodbye
Bridge:
You think you understand
let me take you by the hand
I have never felt this way before
it's your thing if you say so
don't ask me 'cause I don't know
I don't need this heartache any more
yeah, that's his loopy scrawl
Oh, that's delicious! Walter, slipping sideways thru the doorway of established poetic license.. It's a perfect example of why we keep coming back, time and time again.. I Love it! Lary
I love that track, have it included in my outtakes folder on the mp3 cd I ripped for my car in the gaucho range was just listening to it the other day. That and Kule Baba
Kule Baba...an incredible experience every time....
Those two songs really deserved to get a full release with a full arrangement. So fucking good. Same deal with The Bear really.
@Moderator: D-Mod The version of Kulee Baba that you've been privy to, is that akin to a finished product or more like the demos/outtakes that are floating around on the internet?
This lyric is so much better than what made it to tape. "One red rose and a tender goodbye?" Lame by comparison.
This is on par with the very best lines of the SD songbook.
It seems Roger Nichols's daughter Cimcie has found a cassette of The Second Arrangement and is looking to having it transferred. See link below (Sorry couldn't get the link to work)

Oh wow that is a surprise. Hope it won't stay uncirculated like Sacagawea
