That’s helpful……the vagaries of naming SD chords especially ones played by several instruments. And complicating matters is I’m a guitarist with a mere 6 strings to work with…..so generally prefer to raise up to A. such a forlorn song/lyric of a lover’s betrayal.….. “if my bad luck ever blows me back this way, I’ll just look in my Book of Liars for your name……” sheer poetry. Appreciate your posts

What a cool song.....for those of us that prefer to be spoon fed our chords charts, and having already been so kind to post your work here, could you spell out guitar chords like the Gm7 (3/6) for me as in 355363....? You wouldn't throw a nice guy out on a night like this.....would ya???

Now I don't feel so bad having to knock on a dozen doors to get a one night gig.....I need to suck it up. Fascinating.

Your guess as good as mine.....saw an interview with the 2 songwriters years ago where WB said they were less concerned whether a particular phrase rhymed or even made perfect sense.....rather they wanted words thatfit the groove of the song. Here WB finds a perfect fit for poetry and music.
